Despite the current lockdown situation in our region (we are currently restricted to our own municipality except for legitimate business), and difficult personal circumstances for many people, there has still been a good amount of positivity at the start of 2021.
We had a bit of rain for a week, which has provided irrigation for the farmers, topped up the lake and given lots of snow up on the Sierra – great for skiers and very pretty to look at from down in the Valley. The sky is now blue again and everything is looking refreshed and ready to take on another year.
There has been surprising amount of interest in our fabulous properties for sale this month – it seems that people are not prepared to give up on their Spanish dream, despite the tricky circumstances. In fact, now more than ever, there is a quiet determination to make good decisions and look forward to a brighter future.
At the moment we are restricted to conducting viewings for people who are in our area, but we continue to host virtual house viewings with many clients (Spanish and foreign) who are either in a different area of Spain or overseas.
We were absolutely delighted to complete on another purchase undertaken entirely remotely, ensuring the lucky new owners did not miss out on a great opportunity, despite being unable to travel to Spain! What a triumph over adversity and thank goodness for modern technology and the great communications connections we have here, despite our rural location!
It just goes to prove that anything is possible and even though we might be physically and geographically separated for the time being, things are looking positive and we are still here to help you realise your dreams of owning a little slice of Lecrin Valley heaven!
